Since the last update for The Chronicles of Sorrow, our office has moved even further north. We’re now in roughly the same area as our friends at Dunderdagar, with whom we share the world of Mervalde. We look forward to continuing to bring Mervalde to life and having you all travel there. That being said, we have some other news for you.
Going to Pledgebox
The new Kickstarter pledge manager function wasn’t what we were looking for, so we decided to open an account with Pledgebox. It’s a straightforward page that’s easy to manage. We’ve been busy setting it up the last few days and should be ready today or tomorrow. Our backers will receive invites to Pledgebox. In case you missed the Kickstarter, you can make late pledges. But before we go live, we need to do some internal testing and send a smoke test to a few of our backers.
For those of you who have already ordered Swedish products that are in print, we will ship the printed books as soon as we have collected your shipping information. We promised to ship those products in October, but we encountered unforeseen troubles with our choice of pledge manager. That has been fixed now.
Status of the project
Other than that, the translations will start soon. We have been working hard on The Traveler’s Guide to Nordmark and hope to share a beta version with you soon. This product is being written directly in English and will then be translated into Swedish.
We sent the list of illustrations for Blood & Betrayal to the illustrator a while ago. All of the comic pages depicting Mea Merana’s battle with the fireworm are finished. These are a small part of the book The Traveler’s Guide to Nordmark, where the former shadow magician Sarah Wordsmith shares her thoughts about the realm. We discussed using curse words in the dialogue, but ultimately decided against it. Even though we are telling a somewhat darker story, there are some things we will avoid.
On a final note, our Swedish supplement Expanderade regler för vapen och rustningar is already in stock! It will shortly be sent to the ones who have made pre-orders! If you still have not placed an order for it, you can find it here!
